Rooftop Adventure

Every now and then I get a call for a photo shoot that sounds fun on paper, but gets me incredibly anxious the closer it comes to actually doing it.  A few days ago on a gorgeous fall day in New England, I headed over to Roxbury Latin to take shots of solar paneling for a company called Ecolibrium Solar out of Ohio who produce mountings for the panels.  Anyone who knows me knows that I’m quite scared of heights – but in true ‘face your fears’ fashion I accepted the challenge and forged ahead.  I can tell you that although I’m not sure how I did it, I felt really great after it was done.  Here’s some images taken during my excursion that included climbing rungs straight up into infinity, several shaky ladders that led into an old burned out bell tower, tiny ledges that I’d rather not speak of and an abundance of deep breathing.  When it was all over I sat in my car for a moment, texted my wife that I had “survived” and drove home.  Now I can’t wait to do it again.
